City of Austin Proclaims Friday, September 19th Global Be(er) Responsible Day to Promote Alcohol Responsibility
(AUSTIN, TEXAS – September 15th, 2014) – The City of Austin has proclaimed Friday, September 19, 2014, Global Be(er) Responsible Day, in support of a national campaign initiated by Anheuser-Busch to share Budweiser’s message in a bottle: Designate a driver and enjoy the great times. Local distributor, Brown Distributing Company is encouraging their employees, retailers, partners, consumers and the whole Austin community to join them in taking the pledge to drink responsibly.
In support of this day, Brown Distributing will be opening their doors to their partners at AM 1300 The Zone. Sean Adams will be broadcasting “The Adams Theory” from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and Bud Light Ambassador Rod Babers, along with his co-hosts, Craig Way and Jon Madani, will be broadcasting “The Sports Buffet,” on AM 1300 The Zone, live from inside the Brown Distributing warehouse on Friday, September 19th from 4:00PM to 6:00PM.
Brown Distributing and Anheuser-Busch are encouraging their retail partners to make the commitment to serve and sell alcohol responsible. Retailers can learn some important tips, and be part of making history by setting a new Guinness World Records title. The pledge to take the server/seller training pledge can be found here: www.BeerResponsible.com.
In addition to the millions of dollars spent by Anheuser-Busch over the past three decades promoting responsible drinking, Brown Distributing takes an active role in ensuring that their products are consumed responsibly, by adults, in Central Texas. Each year, they invest over $100,000 to promote local responsible drinking, designated driver, and underage drinking prevention programs.
Brown Distributing is proud of their community-wide efforts, which are executed with the help of local law enforcement, civic, educational, non-profit and community organizations. Through these partnerships, Brown Distributing will continue to work to promote alcohol responsibility throughout Central Texas. After all, these are our communities and it is our collective responsibility to keep them safe.
